It is no secret that we all have celebrity crushes. I mean my friends and I have discussed our “Top 10 Men” lists with each other. But the other night after chit-chatting for quite awhile, I discovered that I also have quite a few girl crushes. I have never had the urge to go girl, but if I did, these ladies would be in the running.

5) Jennifer Aniston- I totally fell in love with her on “Friends”. I was a loyal viewer from day one. I was in 4th grade when the show started and she and Matthew Perry were always my favorite. As time went on and she married/was screwed by Brad Pitt and such, I just thought she handled herself so well. She also seems to do whatever the hell she wants to do. Who cares that she’s 42? She doesn’t need a man. Or if she wants to date the whole country, who cares? I love that.

4) Katy Perry- The bitch is hot. Nuff’ said.

3) Gwyneth Paltrow- She is so talented and versatile. Lately, she has been on fire. With her incredible singing voice, she’s sung on the CMAs, “Country Strong” and “Glee”. Plus she doesn’t flaunt her relationship with her famous parents, famous husband or parade her kids in front of cameras.

2) Tina Fey/Liz Lemon- I can only assume that these two are the same people. Tina Fey has got to be the funniest woman on the planet right now. I am a huge “30 Rock” fan and I have been watching SNL since I was in the second grade. I even have my very own pair of Tina Fey glasses.

1) Sandra Bullock- Seriously. Is there anyone cooler? No? I have loved her “girl next door” appeal. I mean, she’s beautiful too, but not in the supermodel way. She’s funny and talented (See “The Blind Side” and “The Proposal”) Take all that into account with the crap that she did NOT put up with her dead-beat husband and voilà! Oh, and she won and Oscar and adopted a baby while going through her divorce. Can we just hand her a freaking cape already?

So, I happened to read an article stating that the New Kids on the Block were doing a tour with the one and only Backstreet Boys. This makes me very giddy. I realize that I am their target audience- female, 20-40s- the aging teenyboppers. I also must admit that I was only 5 when the New Kids came out. At 5, I was jamming to Garth Brooks and taking naps. However, I was fully aware when the Backstreet Boys came out. I love them- I saw them twice in concert with the help of my worn-down-from-begging parents (yeah, I know….they rock). I had every cd, dvd, tape and poster. And I am not ashamed to admit that when they released a few cds a couple of years ago, I was the first one in line at Target. I even watched the ill-fated “House of Carter” on E!

Anywho, the news of this tour is ridiculously exciting. If it comes anywhere in the Midwest, you can bet I will be there. And this time I won’t need my parents to drive me there. Not unless they want to…for old times sake.
